Introduction

This is the privacy and cookie policy for www.arranfrances.com (Site). The Site is operated by Arran Frances Limited (we, us and our). For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, we are the data controller.

Information we may collect from you

When you order from the Site, we will ask for your name, email address, delivery address, telephone number, credit or debit card number, registered address of the credit card (referred to on site as the “billing address”, credit card CVC number, the card’s expiry date and a contact phone number for the registered address of the credit card.

This information may also be provided by completing forms on the Site, including if you register as a user of the Site, upload or submit any material via the Site, request any information, or enter into any competition or promotion we may sponsor. We and our partners will use these details to provide our and their services to you in fulfilling orders that you place with us. This may include us passing your information to our couriers in the event they need to contact you regarding your delivery and us passing your details to recognised credit checking agencies and/or credit card companies to assess your credit authorisation.

We may also collect and process the following information about you:

  • in connection with an account sign-in facility, your log-in and password details;

Payment processing

Payment details you provide will be encrypted using secure sockets layer (SSL) technology before they are submitted to us over the internet. Payments made on the Site are made through our payment gateway provider, Paypal. You will be providing credit or debit card information directly to Paypal which operates a secure server to process payment details, encrypting your credit/debit card information and authorising payment. Information which you supply to Paypal is not within our control and is subject to Paypal’s own privacy policy and terms and conditions.

Security

We place great importance on the security of all personally identifiable information associated with our users. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal information under our control. For example, our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised personnel have access to personal information.
